Autumn inspired Yoga, Kitchari and Essential Oils

Autumn brings a time of transition and release; as everything around us begins to change with the seasons we ourselves can often feel out of balance. So as the colder months begin to approach us join myself and Jacqueline Liffiton for a beautiful afternoon of nourishing the body, mind and soul. 

We will start the day with a 60 minute yoga practice centred around release and grounding as well as touching on how to modify your yoga practice to suit all your autumn needs. After our practice, lunch will consist of a nourishing bowl of kitchari washed down with some essential oil infused Chai to warm the body inside and out. Kitchari, traditionally made of yellow mung dal and basmati rice, along with digestive spices and ghee, is used as a cleansing and detoxifying food in Ayurveda perfect for prepping the body for the winter months.

With your appetite sated we will sit down for an informative chat on how you can incorporate essential oils into your daily life to support a natural lifestyle. We will cover off what essential oils are, the most important oils every household needs, how you can use oils safely and finally how they can be used in your yoga and meditation practice.

We will finish the afternoon with a short 20 minute meditation with a focus on meeting ourselves exactly where you are, with gentleness and loving kindness regardless of the season.
